Getting it out of its box/holder wasn't much fun -- but the toy itself is pretty good, with lots of movements and sounds. But, like all "walking" toys in this price range, kids will likely tire of it fairly quickly. On the other hand, it is very nice looking and will undoubtedly find a long-term home on display on a shelf, taken down occasionally for play. It has a soft surface, but is not a take-to-bed toy because of the hard plastic shell on top and the mechanical structures you can feel through the fur, and wouldn't likely take much abuse. But at the right price, it's impressive enough.
